The Effect of Green Urbanization on Forestry Green Total Factor Productivity in China: Analysis from a Carbon Neutral Perspective

Based on panel data from 30 provinces 2001 to 2018 in China, this paper explores the effects and mechanisms of green urbanization forestry total factor productivity (FGTFP) context carbon neutral strategy using a two-way fixed model instrumental variables. The results show that: Firstly, as sector with ecological economic benefits, ignoring sink output tends make FGTFP overestimated. Secondly, has significant positive contribution effect FGTFP, finding still holds after series robustness tests including Thirdly, can indirectly promote by stimulating integration tourism strengthening environmental regulations. Fourthly, there is regional heterogeneity impact i.e., promotion more non-state forest areas compared state-owned areas. above conclusions, following countermeasures are proposed: firstly, attaching importance constraints; secondly, relying drive tourism; thirdly, actively promoting construction development areas, while vigorously developing economy crack transformation dilemma backward state
